One-tenth of a second…

That’s how fast someone decides.
Fifteen seconds to hook.
Forty-five to linger.

Blog, article, or landing page — my clients count on me to breach those thresholds.

I lead with emotion and strategy.
It’s a pattern that converts.

About me . . .

It all started with a university education in accounting and marketing. I then spent decades gaining invaluable insight and knowledge from positions in manufacturing, consulting firms, and senior sales roles in tech companies.

My writing skills — honed while crafting decision-influencing reports — evolved into a profession as a narrative strategist and copywriter. My grade 9 English teacher, Mrs. Edwards (bless her insistence), predicted it. I shape messages that capture each of my client’s unique voices and drive their business goals forward. I know and feel how people think. Decades of observation and experience have taught me how to influence results.

Choosing the right tone and punctuation… is always paramount.

I respect the comma but I love — the em dash.

From mood to timing, every piece is designed to engage, resonate, and deliver an actionable message to readers of the brands I write for.

Driving each tale is the same craft I use to engage audiences and deliver results for my clients. These stories aren’t indulgence; they are proof of concept.

Falling From the Sky … The Call Of The Void

Can a compelling narrative impact a brand’s message and translate emotion into measurable results?   Years back, I loved the sky… and would periodically visit, up close. That worn and worthy Cessna 180 shuddered and gradually accelerated as the seven of us huddled forward and climbed twelve thousand feet. That’s as high as I ever…

How To Lose Your Audience… in Four Minutes

Can brevity capture an audience drowning in content? Over time, our appetite for content has shrunk. TV shows air with 35-minute binge-inviting brevity. Pop songs barely nudge three minutes. YouTube Shorts are 25 seconds. Busy digital consumers, with ever-diminishing attention spans, expect faster pacing and quicker rhythm. In fact — they DEMAND it. So why…

She Needed A Comforting Ear… Don’t We all

If readers feel understood, will they act?   It’s past midnight when the phone rings. Her voice trembles. I listen — her words are measured. She can go months without having one, but when it shows up, it roars in with uncontrolled waves that totally submerge her. “It strangles my throat and scares the shit out…
